For over twenty-five years our firm has been dedicated to the practice of US immigration and nationality law. Our philosophy has been to combine superior legal services with an intense commitment to the development of fair immigration laws and policies. Our founding partner, Joseph Minsky (1925-1992), was an early champion in the field of civil rights law. During the 1960's he played a key role in establishing the Illinois Fair Employment Practices Act and served for many years as a Hearing Officer of the Commission on Human Relations. This led him to the emerging field of immigration law to which he devoted the last twenty years of his professional life. At the time of his death in 1992, Mr. Minsky was recognized as a national expert who had made important contributions to the development of the immigration laws during the 1970's and 1980's.
The tradition continues. Many
of our attorneys hold or have held leadership positions in bar associations,
immigration law foundations, immigrant coalitions, and civic, business and
community organizations concerned with immigration issues.
Time is often of essence in immigration matters. Our firm's number one priority is to provide efficient turnaround times to permit us to file the appropriate applications at the earliest possible time. Our approach to client service, in most instances, is to assemble a legal team, comprised of a Senior Partner, an Associate Attorney and a Legal Assistant to handle a client or matter. The Senior Partner is responsible for the overall strategic plan, the Associate Attorney manages the day-to-day implementation of the plan and the Legal Assistant provides the administrative support to process the case. Additional support is available whenever required, depending on the nature of the case and the volume of the work required by the client.
