USCIS No Longer Accepting Cap-Subject H-1B Lottery Petitions for FY 2019

April 06, 2018
Beata Leja

As of today, April 6, 2018, USCIS will no longer be accepting new, cap-subject H-1B petitions in its randomized lottery for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019. USCIS will now conduct the lottery and begin to send receipt notices and rejections over the next several weeks. Due to the high volume of filings, applicants likely will not receive updates until early May. If you are concerned about your options in the event that your petition is not chosen in the lottery, you can review options at https://www.mmhpc.com/2016/04/h-1b-alternatives-h-1b-not-selected-annual-lottery-year/.
